tv input disconnected Can't Post

Hi,
I've got a pretty old Philips 24PW6006/05 television. It was working perfectly until it was knocked over the other day. It won't turn on now since the input (which resembles the sort of input you put into a phone) which connects the tv to the mains in the wall has become detached. It's sort of stuck behind the plastic grid on the bottom of the tv which is attached with small screws. If I take this cover off will it be obvious enough where to attach the cable or should I leave it? I would really appreciate any advice
Thanks

take the back off and look.it may be a panel is smashed if it was knocked over.if it looks like a phone plug then that wont go to mains electric. the mains cable is a plug/socket affair on the power supply board which may be disconnected.

Ok thanks, I'll have a go, do you happen to know what kind of screwdriver I might need?
