tv problem Can't Post

I just got a TV with a bulged capacitor on the power supply so i soldered a new one in with the same voltage and capacity except smaller. now i hear a high pitched noise and everything works except that. It worked before, I just didn't want a bulged capacitor in the TV in case it'd cause more damage. What'd I do wrong?

Smaller? Physical dimensions? Temperature rating?

Did you put new cap in paying attention to polarity?
Did you move anything that was 'glued' down?
Did you perhaps drop the board and maybe crack a transformers core for example?

yep smaller, i cant find physical dimensions, 105 c, i put the cap in with the polarity facing the same way, I didn't touch anything that was glued down and I never dropped it. I replaced the cap because I didn't want it to blow and cause irreparable damage or more expensive damage an since i put it in, i did notice a speedier stat up.
