Take a little stab at this,,,,, What I assume what you call the hidden menu is in fact the service menu, you probley got there by entering a code and this brought up this menu. If this is the case there is a reason why it's hidden, this menu is for service alighments, setting options , and dignose the set for a qualifide tech. when someone with no knowlage of what these menus do gets there real bad things happen real fast. And in some cases destroy the tv. And the real good news messing around in there void your warranty. as for what vdp means that could be just about anything, many manufactures just use codes for curtain functions. For a example theres one known as hph or Hphase and also just as 1 all mean the same thing horizontal phase, screw with this one a little to much and the tv will fry. Best bet get out of there loose the code and don't go back
