Vizio E551i-A2 TV connected to a Cox cable box with HDMI cable.
Turn on TV, wait until boot complete, then turn on cable box. This causes a chirping sound instead of and in sync with the normal audio; adjustable with volume control. Can be fixed by changing channel on cable box.
No problems if the cable box is turned on first and then the TV. No problem when using a component cable instead of the HDMI cable.
Vizio tech thinks it's a handshake problem with HDMI connection and probably caused by the cable box.
Any idea what's happening here?
