Check the cables and connectors leading for the main signal board up to the TCON board on the back of the LCD panel, these sets are bad for connections coming loose or tarnishing over time and often removing them and re-seating them will solve a lot of video issues.

vizio vw42l repair ??????
i have a vizio vw42l hdtv10a it turns on and the screen lights up so does the vizio logo but no picture or sound and the controls dont work could anyone help me and tell me if the main board is what i need to replace thank you
