zenith B19A21D Can't Post

chassis# CN-220A. The color on this set is all blue. I'm looking in the line of a bad IC as the fault. Am I headed in the right direction? Thanks

Probably a cathode to heater (ground) short of the blue gun in the CRT. Otherwise, I would suspect the IC901.

I suspected it was IC901 (I101) on my board as well. But if it's not that, is there anything i can do about the short of the blue gun in the crt?

First, verify the short by checking for continuity between pins 3 and 5 on the CRT with the board pulled. You can "cludge" it by wrapping two turns of wire around the core of the flyback and attach the ends to the heater terminals on the CRT board. Isolate the ground side (pin 6) by opening the printed circuit with a sharp blade.

There was no short so i've ordered that IC to replace.
