techchris Veteran Mar 29, 2006, 7:51 PM Views: 1369 Re: [andy9466] samsung sp42w5hfx convergance first question. why were you in the service menu in the first place? if the convergence went out then the stk chips are probably faulty. you need to set the red and green first then superimpose the blue on top. buttons 7 and 9 turn the red or blue on or off to enable you to do this. the vol up/down and channel up/down adjusts the lines up down left or right and the navigation buttons move the curser around. standby at the end will memorise your settings

techchris Veteran Mar 29, 2006, 9:34 PM Views: 1363 Re: [andy9466] samsung sp42w5hfx convergance the cost was the time involved setting it up afterwards. if you do it yourself take your time and dont adjust anything till the set has been on for 30mins. you may have to repeat the adjustments 2-3 times to get it right. its not a quick job.
