Looks more like a spill. Take some rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip (NOT used) &/ or a used toothbrush and see if that makes a visible difference. Will be easier to read part locations. Those are HV and focus/screen wires and how to remove them is shown in the service manual Pg 25: http://elektrotanya.com/...sm.pdf/download.html Convergence ICs are IC809 & IC810 STK392-110. Replace both at same time. Use Genuine Sanyo parts. Use fresh heat sink compound. Also: check the bias resistors. MCM Electronics, Ebay if you feel daring. ------------------------- Location: Far, Far Away

Spilled material may have eaten through its leads. So it was made the 14th week of 1997 ... showing other side will give ratings. ------------------------- Location: Far, Far Away
