Hi VECTRAVL! You´re right - Convergence ic is faulty, I guess looks like coloured ghost pictures framed around the actual tv picture. The convergence ic is a STK392-040 see link:http://www.datasheetcatalog.com/...K/3/STK392-040.shtml and needs to be replaced together with RZ2123 (3R9/2W) and RZ2124 (3R9/2W). Use carbon type resistors if available because the ic is very sensitve to rf and these types of resistors do have better properties in that point. (information on an application note of the chip manufacturer SANYO). Hope you´re successful - I like RP-TV´s, they´re great! regards Thomas

Tnanks a lots for your input.I did ordered 2 IC on Ebay cost $30 for 2 and try to search for the resistors RZ2123 (3R9/2W) and RZ2124 (3R9/2W) without successfull. Do you know where I can buy the resistors online or local parts store like Radio Shack... <br>

Good to hear that you could find the ic! They´re obsolete since a long time at Sanyo. 30$´s is a good price for a pair of them - Let´s hope they are new. Yes, radio shack isn´t the first adress to buy safety resistors. At that point I can´t give you any advice, because I don´t know where you live to do researches in the internet where part stores in your aerea are located who have that type of resistor on stock. I need a bit more information. If you write me an e-mail, I can send you a few of them - For more infos just click on my username at one of the posts. best regards
