Are you sure the set has an ATSC (digital) tuner? ------------------------- Location: Far, Far Away

Hello, and thank you for replying, well I bought this tv 2 days ago, original problem was that the lamp was burned out, I replaced it, but wen I turn the tv on,it works but no channels, how do i know if it has ATSC digital tuner?. I know the tv has a analog channel search and DTV search, I tried both to search and no channels show up; just snowy; no audio. Thanks

You just mentioned one way. If with a good ANTENNA connected - Set switched to Broadcast (NOT cable) television and "Digital" (DTV) - you should be able to do a scan and find stations. Otherwise something is wrong with tuning. Try connecting a VCR and keying in channel 3 (or 4) - channel 3 (or 4) is SAME for broadcast or Cable (but not same for Analog/digital). ------------------------- Location: Far, Far Away

Get a set top converter box (or other options you mention) and go in one of the A/V inputs. Will still be stereo but SD. Have you tried cable connected directly and TV switched accordingly. (cable tuning) ------------------------- Location: Far, Far Away
