I have a 55in Seiki Television that has amazing picture quality and works well however without warning it will shut down picture and sound yet the power button will still be illuminated. once you power down fully and wait about 30-40 seconds you can turn it back on no problem. The issue is intermittent and can happen repeatedly or it will be fine for several days and start again.
I have checked the power cable, settings for sleep timer, performed the hard reset, and everything else my failed internet searches revealed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would like to keep it as I found it on the curb (hence the reason lol). It would be a steal if I can fix it and make it work.

Could be:
EEPROM / Main Board or
Power Supply or
bad solder joint(s) or
LED(s) in the panel.

Any idea how to narrow it down? I did swap between hdmi inputs and had the same problem. I opened the back panel and inspected but saw no loose wiring or what I thought to be bad sodering.

Just so you're aware it is only one of a number of possibilities.
Make sure to order the correct one for the board in your set. (ALL numbers match).
