Hi Def Newbie Can't Post

I have a Mits. WS55513. I am receiving my cable and high def next week and was needing some assistance. the back of my tv has 3 seperate component hookups

2 component and one that reads the following :

HDTV Video input (scan rates auto select)
Component Video (YPbPr) 480i, 480p, 1080i

RGBHV

Can I hook up my Xbox and DVD to the first 2 components and my HD receiever to the one described above?

thank you

Don't you also have a M-Link Dvi-HD connection on the bottom left side?

You can use the top 2 component video connections and the DVI link.

The rgbhv can be used if you have something with a rgbhv output.

Dvi-use for cable box if possiable and set 1080i on the set and cable box or the xbox

Component #1 Cable box or xbox 1080i

Component #2-Dvd player- set to 480p

DVI and component video connections are video only connections they transmit no sound.

For sound if you want the sound from your tv use audio imputs they are red and white rca imputs.

I use these guys for my cables www.bluejeanscable.com

OK well I called Comcast and they do not offer DVI on their boxes...so the rep said. I have called 3 times and recieved 2 different answers and the website does not help either.Mad I will speak to the tech when he installs to get a straighter answer.

if no DVI I will connect:

Component 1 - DVD

Component 2 - XBOX

DTV (Component) - HD Receiver
