samsung tv help! Can't Post

i have just purchased a samsung tv. however movies seem to be too realistic. almost unwatchable. it feels like the actors are almost on a very clear home video camera. are my settings wrong? i have tried playing with them but nothing has been able to correct the problem. is this just the tv?

Is this a LCD TV? My personal opinion is that the pictures look that way on a LCD if this is the case. They look really really bright to me. What is the model to the TV?

THE TV IS SAMSUNG 40" 650 LCD. IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTHING IS SO CLEAR THAT IT APPEARS FAKE. TO DESCRIBE A LITTLE BETTER. THE ACTORS LOOK LIKE THEY ARE PRACTICALLY IN THE LIVING ROOM AND THE BACKGROUND LOOKS FAKE.

I COULD BE NUTS.

THANKS FOR TRYING TO HELP OUT!

ok so i figured it out.

samsung lcd's (and i am sure others) use what is called auto motion plus 120hz. i have no idea what that means other than that it bothers me to watch.

hopefully this helps someone else.

thanks

We have had other clients say this same thing. That is the one thing about LCD. I guess it is just a personal preference. People have told us it is almost to intense on their eyes.
