Panasonic Plasma Problem? Can't Post

New to the Forum and just wondered if anyone could help!
I purchased a Panasonic 50" (mod#TH-50PZ77U) about 7 weeks ago.
The last 2 days I have noticed some image retention in the bottom right corner, and top right side, especially when swtiching channels (Direct TV). The previous image stays for a bit, but does not effect the picture unless the screen is a light color, like the gray between channels.
Spoke to Panasonic and the tech told me the panel was still working it's way in? and that some image retention is going to be normal as the pixels shift from one station to the next. For now the images eventually fade away, but obviously I'm concerned that 1 day they may not.
Thanks for the time and any positive support anyone may have.

First statement of PANASONIC tech about the panel was working it's way in is a GAG! / however the second, channels being shifted is just as normal from one station to next is true on all server. Unless it's occurring during change scene of the show especially while watching sources such as DVD or BLU RAY PLAYERS then you should have it check. Otherwise, everything is fine.

thanks for the info!
The only issue with a DVD was the other night the black bars (up/down) of a wide screen Pirates III were still there at the end during the credit screen. They eventually faded away.

During regular watching there has not been any problem when the picture shifts. Only sometimes of the picture is a light color the image may be there, but eventually goes away?

thanks
