TX-42G10B Internal Mute?

Hello,
I have just purchased a Panasonic TX-42G10B i have also got a Bose 2.1 Sound system to compliment it, though when i was setting the sound system up it say's to get the best sound i need to internally mute (which apparently isn't the same as pressing the mute button) the TV speakers, and then turn the TV up to 80% so sound the sound system can use the TV's ampifier too.
So my question is does anyone know if the internal mute can be done on this TV, and if so how? I have read all the instructions and nothing is mentioned anywhere.
