first real post.. hello. and help!?

had my tv on and it al of a sudden shut off and the red light blinks, doesnt seem like its blinking any number of times or anything. ANY HELP? i haven't even had it a week, should i take it back??

ok ok. i unplugged it for about half an hour.. hhit the power button screen lights, but is still black, then an inaudible beep? scratch? noise. and shuts off and the red light blinks 8 times stops and blinks 8 more times..?

any ideas? search says overheated? i have the tv about 14 inches from the wall and my thermostat is set a 74. its on a table no sides nothing, seams hot but not unlike any other tv would be? ive only had it 5 days...

power supply problems is the usual thing with these tv's.Only 5 days old? Why have you not taken it back
