Does anyone know how to restore the picture of an old tv such as
this one, even if you can? Will changing the coolant have much of
an effect on this as well as cleaning mirror and lenses. The picture just
isn't that clear or brilliant. Kind of foggy in a way. basicly not like it was
15 years ago.

my girlfriend isnt as good as she was 15 years ago either.Anyway, take off the front panels and look down into the three tubes, they should be clear and lit up red, green and blue.if any look murky then change the coolant. also clean mirror .this should solve your problem. if all looks well then the tubes are probably failing so dump the set as 15 years is a good life for a tv.

Have a little sying here in tv land, it goes like this....." Tv's age just like cats" So how much of a vet bill do you want to spend on a 15 year old cat? All the vitamins and kitty trinkets wount make that sucker last much longer
