Phillips Magnavox 9P6040C104 Can't Post

Hello Smile I tried searching for my answer but to no avail. I have a Phillips Magnavox model #9P6040C104 Serial #51192067 Chassis #PTV843 This projection TV is about 6 years old. I got it for free, so I'm trying to fix it. The convergence of the colors red and green are fine, but the color blue is very fuzzy. And the picture is kind of dark, but I'm assuming that's because of the blue projector not being focused. How do you focus just one color on this TV? Is something fried or broken that needs to be replaced? Any help would be great! Thank you for your time,
Mat

The PTV fluid in the blue crt assy.(green to) is cloudy do to alge build up. The contaminated fluid is blocking your image and the blue is blurry or it may look like a halo around the menu osd and the image it self. You must remove the fluid and clean out the crt assy. To do this take's some common sense and a full bottle of fluid(two if doing the green). You need to find a tv man who doe's this on the side or it will cost you 300.00 400.00. I normally do this for 150.00 200.00 in home. The fluid which is clear antifreeze is about 12.00-15.00 each.

Thank you! That's very helpful. I really appreciate it. Smile

Now I just need to figure out were to find some PTV fluid and figure out what a crt assembly is. Is there a schematic that shows what is what for this particular model?

Again, thank you.
