The color on the set is fading fast. Picture is growing darker and has taken on an orange twist. Was told one of the three CRTs (?) is going and should replace all three. Trying to determine if it is worth doing by myself since I have no idea on how to repair let alone find which of the three tubes is bad.

Well show this set as built in 1990 so you got a 17 year old set, and with the fact that tv's age like cats, do you realy want to plop down about $200.00 for each tube ( if there even avalible anymore ) then another 250.00 to have it setup just to have a 17 year old set?

I would like to buy some of the circuit boards, if you give up.
Power /deflection board: After back cover is removed, it sits flat in front of you.
Power board: Just left of power/deflection board; stands vertically and is a smaller board
Each is easy to find and each has removable connectors
This is an open post to anyone that has these parts available

Hi Mike
Thanks for the advice. Dropped 1500 dollars into your Spokan economy through Onecall.com (Great Company and Great People) and bought a new Sony 55" lcd. However still have a Hitachi with a blank screen that is too much of an old friend to let go. I had already call PCA in Indianapolis and they will not repair the board, nor do they have a replacement. I have a short in the power deflection board and only have a VTOM and can't find it. I don't want to send it out for repair, because it is too expensive for such an old model. All I want are some used boards that still work and drop them in the set. Also trying to get that TV out of the house is a major undertaking; it must weigh about 250 lbs. All I want is someone to make me a deal on the boards, put them in the mail COD and I'll be happy!
Thanks for you imput; always appreciate advice.
