CHECK PIN 3 OF "AJ" CONNECTOR (9V LINE) FOR INTERMITTENT CONNECTION TO SIGNAL BOARD. LOCATED ON PCB-VIDEO. 2. CHECK IC701 (12 V REG) ON THE SIGNAL PCB 3. CHECK IC401 PIN 8 FOR 27 VDC, IF MISSING CHECK R540 1.2 OHM 1/2 W. IF OPEN IC401 MAY BE SHORTED. BOTH ARE ON THE MAIN PCB.

The first thing I would check would bemy vertical deflection ic it is usually IC401. Also check the voltages going to the IC and change the pump up capacitor.

I found some questionable caps and took some other readings. IM only getting about 17kv out of my flyback transformer. I wil change ic401 and see if that helps.

thanks ken

Re: [kengcad] mitsubishi vs6017r [In reply to] Can't Post

This appears to be a major problem with Mitsubishi TVs. I have been doing research to document peoples problems with the projection tvs from mitsubishi.

I may be initiating a suit on behalf of purchasers so that Mitsubishi will provide assistance to its purchasers or provide replacement tvs. If anyone has any questions or wants to document their problem, please email me at projectiontvman@yahoo.com I will try to respond to you shortly. Sorry to hear about your problems.
