samsung HCM4216W Can't Post

My cousin hooked me up with a samsung HCM4216W pretty cheap. It was in his personal office and didnt use it much. He said he has never had any issues with it.

This is my first projection tv and i was wondering if anyone could me the low down one anything and everything i should know.

Dont expect a projection set to give as good a picture as a crt tv cos it wont. and dont watch Gerry Springer!

well the picture is pretty good on it from wut i used to have so im happy..

im really looking for the do'd and dont's for this projection tv and even maintaince info?

Do a search on this model and you will find that you'll be replacing a certain convergence amp board. This thread is typical...

Ok really need some help on this one.

I am getting a slight static noise from the speakers on the TV. i have the volume turned all the way down becuase I have no audio sources going into the tv, they are all digital optical into my receiver. Why am i getting this static sound? Is there a way to compeltely shut off the internal speakers? Does it have to do with maybe speaker wires near the tv or the receiver?
