Hi so we haven't used out TV for a while and went to turn it on and all we get is a slight light from the screen. There is sound and I think the remote is working but no picture just a slight amount of light the TV is under 2 years old and unfortunately out of warranty. Called LG they said it was the backlight but I'm wondering if it's fixable DIY style as they want £519 to change the backlight the TV is about that new so no point paying that.
Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what it could be causing it.
The screen does have some light so it's not all black and it's nothing plugged in as even the settings menu doesn't show on screen
