Cable connection problem

Below is a 'diagram' of our cable line.
T V set #1 has bad reception on some channels.
T V set #2 and #3 are just fine.
..Back to set #1....the bad channels can be cleared up by turning on set #2.
..Turning on set #3 has no effect on set #1
....Anybody care to 'opine' on how to fix set #1's reception??
