I’m working on an Mac se/30 and when I had reassembled it , it suffered a horizontal collapse, with only a thin line in the middle of the screen. I disassembled the computer again , and looked for obvious faults, none found. After that I assembled it again and now the screen is dead. There is no signs of anything happening when turning on the screen, although the computer chimes and boots. My question is, what can a totally dead screen be a sign of? Failure of the high voltage? Anything else? Also, I would like to know more about troubleshooting CRT’s, but find it difficult to find useful info in English. Can anyone recommend a source of info, online or book perhaps?
