I am considering trading in my 29' sony for a larger screen (around 40-50 ').
I've been told that rear projection tv's are inferior in picture quality compared
to the good old crt's, and that plasma technology is not reliable enough, and one should
expect only 5-6 years of life for plasma tv's.. not to mention the shocking price
of plasma screens in my country (more than 10,000 $ for a 42' LG screen)...
What do you people suggest? any recommendations?
what about bigger crt's? are they as good as the more coventional sizes?Are there any crt's
larger than 40 inches?
