jts1957;.... This simplified service manual is issued to add listed models to the main service manual order No. MTNC000417C1 (CT-27D10B). A set , ETC ETC ETC....
The service manual I downloaded for CT-27D10B shows on the 1st page;....Main Manual for "NA8".... It also shows the chassis number as "AP338".... With this number , "MTNC000417C1" , in the top right corner.... Since I agreed that we have a NA8/AP338 chassis , why are we continuing on with this line of action ???? There's NO need for you to search your paper manual collection... Altho , I APPRECIATE your efforts....THANK you........ dumpster;..... The following I recieved from Panasonic support;=>.... Try to reset the TV. Turn the TV ON. Press and hold the ACTION and POWER buttons on the TV for more than 5 seconds. Self-Check will display. Turn the TV OFF then unplug for about 1 minute. We hope this information is useful to you. dumpster , you can try this just for drill , but IF the "Action" button is NOT working , I doubt it will work.... Good Luck....... Also go to "Parental Lock & enter "0 0 0 0" for the code... See if that works & you get access.... IF you do unlock EVERYTHING. & exit....... IF that works , try the front panel buttons & see if they are working.... Post results... My reply today to Panasonic is;=>... Dear Person;... 1st;....THANK you VERY much for your help.... We can not do this proceedure because the vol up & down , chan up & down and the "action" buttons on the set are disabled for some reason... I suspect that there is a "Child Lock" feature of some sort involved here which I think is in the "Parental Lock"....... Which is why I need to find a way to bypass the "Parental Lock" code... I need to get into that part & turn off the Parental Lock... I suspect that that is why the front panel buttons are disabled.... That or someone has gone into & tinkered with the Factory Menu in some way.... IF it IS in the Factory Menu , can you PLEASE advise what to adjust ????... Again , THANK you VERY much for your help.... As soon as I hear back from them I'll let you know.... Later....Ron.M......... Veteran & Retired TV technician
