BTW:....I've been to http://schematicsforfree.com/ & they don't have squat for TV schematics/manuals....So good luck with that....Laugh.....

sorry ron. i meant to say i wanted the whites to get whiter. i know now the contrast is the level of white. and brightness is the level of black. i also stated very early in this post that i went into the back of tv and raised the level of brightness from the knob on the flyback transformer and all it did was put a white haze over the picture. i guess i'll leave it the way it is. if this is goodbye than thank's so much for your time.

Contrast affects both the white & black parts of the pix , hence the name;.."contrast"
Brightness primarily affects the "white" part of the pix , hence the name "brightness"

If the haze was like a bit foggy , I'd suspect an aged (10 yrs) CRT as going south gradually....
